Trying to find an efficient and cost saving method for a direct marketing company to mail a promotional and personalized package in the Netherlands can be hard to do. Since this mail package has personalized components, the contents of the package must accurately be hand-matched with the carrier envelope/box.

The carrier envelope/box measured 4.5 x 6 x .25 inches. It held three personalized inserts, a letter, an order form, and a reply envelope.

The personalization of this package created complex requirements when it came time to assemble and mail the carrier envelope/box. Even with shipping costs, it was more economical to produce this package in Hong Kong than in Europe.

Once the packages were assembled, they made a 30-day trip from Hong Kong to Rotterdam where it was delivered to our affiliated mail house in the Netherlands and mailed by Netherlands Post.

Netherlands Post offered a postal rate for this package within the Netherlands that could not be matched for the weight of the carrier packages by the Asian Postal services. Additionally, the recipients saw a local indicia on the package rather than an Asian indicia, which made a better impression on consumers.

During production, all original high-resolution artwork was submitted to the client through
ACTON International's secure FTP site. All proofs (color PDFs) were sent and approved/edited overnight. Live data proofs of all components were submitted as PDFs.

ACTON International maintains business relationships with printing and direct mail production facilities around the world, and our knowledge of international mail regulations and practices offered our client the best possible cost for quality production and assembly of this complex catalog project.
